The CLCs can support schools as they come to terms with this by offering quality Learning Opportunities for pupils, and guidance and Professional Development for teachers.

All activities link with specific year groups and involve collaboration with school practitioners.
This opportunity links with Narrative - Unit 2 of the Year 2 framework. As part of this unit, children are required to produce a multimodal text that combines images, text and sound to convey meaning.

During their visit to the CLC, children will work in pairs or small groups to record a podcast alternative version of Little Red Riding Hood’ using the suggested texts, 'Little Red Riding Hood and the Vegetarian Wolf', or, 'The True Story of Little Red Riding Hood' as a stimulus.

The CLC activity will be based upon written work carried out at school.

Who can take part in this opportunity? This learning activity is suitable for approximately 30 pupils, providing adequate adult support accompany the children on their visit. Pupils will be split into small groups throughout the centre to ensure quality voice recording.
