Learning Opportunity at St Helens City Learning Centres
Learning Opportunity Title:
Sublimation
Learning Opportunity Outline
A half day learning opportunity allows learners to engage in the process
of sublimation technology. This is a CAD/CAM activity using software of
your choice including:
- Microsoft Publisher
- Photoshop
- CorelDRAW
- Revelation Natural Art
The
class teacher can lead this activity themselves where learners create
individual designs on a chosen theme. If you require images other than
those in the library of your choice of software, e.g. ClipArt, you must
ensure the CLC is in receipt of these via CD or pen drive two weeks prior
to your visit.
The saved design is printed and then applied to the chosen medium (mug,
tile, t'shirt, jigsaw etc) using heat and pressure.
Although this activity can be done at either centre we would recommend
visiting Rainhill for t'shirts and mugs as learners can be involved in
the whole manufacturing process. This activity is usually combined with
another half day activity e.g. GarageBand to provide a full days experience
for your class.
| Who can take
part in this opportunity? |
This learning activity is suitable for 30 pupils. This
is the maximum legal capacity of our rooms. Please
note: We cannot exceed this limit due to Health and Safety
reasons. If your numbers exceed this you will need to book two rooms. |
