| Expectations
of the class teacher and preparations prior to your visit |
The class teacher will have chosen the products the
students are going to make – the CLC will need to be aware of
this choice in order for materials to be purchased and made ready
for your visit. |
| Expectations
of the Class teacher whilst at the CLC |
The class teacher will be expected to lead the introduction
of this learning opportunity at the centre. This would include focussing
the students on 'designing'.
The class teacher will prepare and lead the plenary to this learning
and teaching opportunity.
The CLC encourages the class teacher to bring resources to
the CLC in order to support the learning in these sessions. |
| How will CLC
staff support this activity? |
A member of the CLC team will guide/lead the students
through the use of TechSoft 2D in order to design their product.
A member of the CLC team will produce your students' products on our
laser cutters. Small groups of your students will be taken on a tour
of Learning Zone 4 in order to see this process in progress.
Please note the manufacturing process will not be complete by the
time you are leaving the centre.
Your students' products will be made ready for collection within 5
working days of your visit. Your school will be notified via an email
when they are ready for you to collect. |

The CLC will be provide all resources for the products. |

Schools need to ensure that pupils bring a packed lunch
and drinks (water only) with them if the learning activity runs over
lunch time. |
| Travel Costs |
The CLC will contribute half of the travel cost that you book through a competitively priced coach company. |
