Facilities and Services
St Helens City Learning Centres offer a range of quality facilities and services and our centres are fully accessible for disabled visitors. Our Centres offer outstanding state-of-the-art ICT facilities and are fully equipped with multi-format multimedia computers and a range of peripherals. The Apple iMacs are cross platform machines which means they can be operated as normal PCs running Windows XP or as Apple machines running Mac OS-X. We also offer a range of refreshments and buffets/snacks which can be ordered in advance. Our FacilitiesClick here for a list of software available The CLC is not just for schools and business. Adults and children alike are welcome to use our facilities. Whether you want to catch up on homework or just want to 'surf the net'. Within each City Learning Centre there are five main rooms available for booking: HaydockLearning Zone 1Suitable for 30 students/delegates and one trainer. This room is a flexible learning space and can be set up in the following ways:

Laptops and ibooks available. Media Production Zone 3This room is a fully air conditioned room and houses:
RainhillCommunication Zone 1Suitable for small groups of up to five students/delegates and one trainer/teacher. This room boasts a fully equipped radio station. Communication Zone 2A fully air conditioned 40 seat conference/lecture facility. This room boasts a large media wall offering remote control surround sound, PC, DVD and CD facility. Each chair has an optional laptop/notebook table. Conference tables are also available for use within this room. Communication Zone 3Equipped with 'dual-boot' Apple iMacs. Suitable as a small training/teaching room for up to seven students/delegates and one trainer. This room houses:
*Video Conferencing facilities are charged separately – please contact the CLC for information. Learning Zone 1 - Food Technology and Research & Development ZoneThis Zone is a 'clean area'. The Zone will accommodate 26 PC’s. This Zone houses a raised demonstration area with a video/projection unit capable of screening demonstrations on the interactive whiteboard located in the room and recording the demonstration for use back in schools or in repeated sessions. This Zone accommodates:
Learning Zone 2 - Apple SuiteSuitable for a maximum of 30 students/delegates and one trainer. This room incorporates two flexible meeting/planning tables which can accommodate up to 16 students/delegates incorporating, ipod technology, isight cameras and microphones. The flexibility of this learning space allows it to be set up in the following ways:
